How to Add a Watermark to a number of Images in Photoshop Elements 7

• Ensure that all of the images that you wish to add watermarks to are in the same folder
  
  
• Create a new folder (maybe a subfolder of this) to put the watermarked images into
  
  
• Ensure that Photoshop Elements is in Full edit mode:
  
  
  • Select EDIT on the right, and press the Full button:
    
    
    
    
• From the File menu, click on Process Multiple Files:
  
  
  
  
• The Process Multiple Files window will open:
  
  
  • Fill in the following information about the location of the file(s) to be watermarked:
    
    

    Source:	The location of the files that are TO BE watermarked
    Destination:	The location of the files once they have been watermarked

    
    DO NOT tick the Same as Source box. If this is done, the destination input box will be disabled, and the watermarked files will overwrite the original files.
    
    
  • Fill in the following information for the watermark (Ensure that Watermark is selected (under Labels):
    
    

    Custom Text:	The text to use for the watermark
    Position:	The position of the watermark on the image
    Font:	The font to use for the watermark
    TT	The size of the watermark font
    Opacity:	The opacity of the watermark (1 is very nearly transparent, 100 is not at all transparent)
    Color:	The color of the watermark

    
    
  • In addition to adding a watermark, you may also wish to resize the image to 72dpi (which will mean that it is big enough to be viewed on screen but too small to print out in detail. To do this:
    
    
    • Tick the Resize Images box
      
      
    • Select 72 as the Resolution
      
      
  
  
  
• Press the OK button to update the images.
  
  Depending on how many images you are watermarking, this might take a while.
