Batch Image Processing using Sony Image Data Lightbox SR

• Start Sony Image Data Lightbox SR:
  
  
  • Before you start Sony Image Data Lightbox SR, ensure that all of the RAW files (*.arw) that you wish to convert are all located in the same folder.
    
    Create a subfolder of this called jpeg,to store the jpeg output files.
    
    
  • When you start Sony Image Data Lightbox SR, the Add Files to Collection window will open. Press the Add a Folder... button on this:
    
    
    
    
  • The Browse for Folder window will appear. Select the folder containing the files, and press the OK button:
    
    
    
    
  • You will now be asked if you want to include images in subfolders. Press the No button on this:
    
    
    
    
  • Sony Image Data Lightbox SR will now start.
    
    
• Create a settings file:
  
  
  • Press the Thumbnails Only button to ensure that only thumbnails are showing:
    
    
    
    
  • Select ONE of the image thumbnails. Press the Adjust in Sony Image Data Converter SR button
    
    
    
    
  • Sony Image Data Converter SR will now open for the selected image. Update the image as necessary (do not save it):
    
    
  • Once you have the image as you want it, open the Edit menu, select Image Processing Settings, and click on Save...:
    
    
    
    
  • The Save As window will appear. Input a descriptive name for the file, and press the Save button:
    
    
    
    
  • Once the settings have saved, close Sony Image Data Converter SR, and return to Sony Image Data Lightbox SR. You will be asked if you want to save changes. Press the No button:
    
    
    
    
• Apply the settings file to all of the images:
  
  
  • Select ALL of the thumbnails in Sony Image Data Lightbox SR (click on the first thumbnail, hold down the Shift key and click on the last thumbnail).
    
    
  • Press the Output button:
    
    
    
    
  • The Output window will appear. Select Apply the selected image processing settings to each RAW file:
    
    
  • The Open window will appear. Select the saved settings file, and press the Open button:
    
    
    
    
  • Selected Image Processing Settings will appear. Close this window:
    
    
    
    
  • Press the Browse... button next to the Save in input box:
    
    
    
    
  • The Browse for Folder window will appear. Select the jpeg subfolder of the folder containing the files, and press the OK button:
    
    
    
    
  • Press the Save button to begin converting the files
    
    
  • Go and do something else - the conversion will take a while.
    
    
  • When the conversion is complete, press the Close button:
    
    
    
    
  • Close Sony Image Data Lightbox SR
